The Layflat Hose Machine (Layflat Hose Production Line) is a complete set of equipment specifically designed for manufacturing foldable, flat hoses. It uses extrusion, braiding, and coating processes to form polymer materials such as PVC, TPU, and PP PE in a single process. The result is a hose that can be rolled into a coil after being laid flat, quickly unfolded for use, and withstand high pressure. Below is a comprehensive introduction to the technical principles, equipment components, product specifications, application areas, and market advantages.
1. Technical Principle
Co-extrusion/One-Shot Molding: Taking PVC as an example, polyester fibers are first braided into a mesh tube at high speed as a reinforcement layer. The extruder then simultaneously coats the plasticized PVC material on both the outer and inner walls of the mesh tube, achieving a single-shot extrusion process.
Low-Temperature Rapid Cooling: The hose is rapidly cooled and shaped using a multi-stage water cooling tank (FLEXI-COOL series), ensuring roundness and eliminating stress. Online diameter measurement & constant tension winding: A laser diameter gauge and servo traction machine are used to control the outer diameter and wall thickness in real time. Finally, an automatic winder rolls the hose into a coil at constant tension for easy transportation.
II. Product Features
Lightweight: 30-50% lighter than traditional rubber hoses of the same length
High Flexibility: Can be folded flat, with a small storage radius and quick deployment
Pressure and Corrosion Resistance: Polyester reinforcement + polymer coating for acid, alkali, UV, and abrasion resistance
Unlimited Length: Continuous extrusion and coiling, single hoses can reach lengths of over 200 meters
Connector Compatibility: Quickly assembles with aluminum alloy, stainless steel, or plastic cam-lock connectors
III. Applications
Agriculture: Mobile sprinkler irrigation, drip irrigation tributaries, and reel-type sprinkler systems
Industry: Mine drainage, construction site sewage disposal, temporary oil and water transfer
Emergency: Remote firefighting water supply, flood control and drainage, hazardous chemical spill containment
