I. Product Overview
PVC waterstop production line can produce PVC waterstops. PVC waterstops (also known as plastic waterstops) are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin as the primary base material, with the addition of toughening agents, stabilizers, fillers, and antioxidants. They are manufactured through a series of processes, including high-speed mixing, granulation, single- or twin-screw extrusion, vacuum shaping, cooling and drawing, and cut-to-length cutting. Utilizing its inherent elastic deformation to bond with concrete, PVC waterstops form a continuous seal in expansion joints in tunnels, subways, culverts, dams, underground pipeline corridors, sewage treatment tanks, and other projects, preventing water seepage and leakage. It is known as the "lifeline" of underground projects.
II. Core Process Flow
Raw Material Pretreatment
• Mixing: Blending of PVC, calcium carbonate, CPE or ACR, Ca/Zn stabilizer, epoxidized soybean oil, calcium stearate/paraffin wax, and other raw materials
• High-speed hot and cold mixing: Hot mixing at 110–120°C and cold mixing below 40°C to ensure smooth flow and agglomeration
• Forced feeding: Screw feeder with metal detector to prevent impurities from damaging the screw.
Extrusion Molding
• Main extruder: SJ-90/33 single screw or SJZ-65/132 conical twin screw, with a bimetallic wear-resistant coating on the screw surface for uniform plasticization
• Die: Coat-hanger sheet die or special-purpose die for special-shaped waterstops, with built-in damping rods to ensure uniform thickness (±0.1 mm);
• Temperature zoning: 5 barrel zones and 3 die zones to prevent PVC decomposition and yellowing. Vacuum Forming and Cooling
• 6–8 m vacuum forming table: Adjustable vacuum chambers, anodized forming plates for non-stick properties;
• Vortex water tank + air knife secondary cooling: Reduces product surface temperature to below 35°C, eliminating warping.
Hauling and Cutting
• Crawler haulage + flying saw/planetary cutter for cut-to-length production
Reeling/Fixed-Length Packaging
• Automatic meter counter → Single/double reel → PE film wrapping → Packaging
• Or cut-to-length → Palletizer → Strapping with strapping.
