I. Equipment Description
This plastic welding rod production line can produce PVC, PP, and PE welding rods. Plastic welding rods are made by extruding and shaping thermoplastic resins such as PVC, PP, and PE. They are used as fillers in manual or automated plastic welding. This production line offers "three functions on one line": by replacing the screw, die, and shaping device, the same unit can produce a variety of welding rods in various sizes, including round, triangular, twin-strand, and flat shapes for PVC, PP, and PE. These rods are widely used in the welding, maintenance, and manufacturing of chemical storage tanks, pipelines, electroplating tanks, environmental protection equipment, waterproofing membranes, and plastic sheet materials.
II. Process Flow
Raw Material Pretreatment
• Granular or powdered material (PVC, PP, PE) → suction machine → high- and low-speed mixers (PVC requires the addition of plasticizers/stabilizers) → vacuum feeder → extruder hopper. Extrusion and Plasticizing
• Main Unit: SJ-45/30, SJ-55/30, or SJ-65/30 single-screw extruder, 38CrMoAlA nitrided or bimetallic wear-resistant alloy;
• Die Head: Round (Ø2–8 mm), double-round, triangular, D-shaped, and B-shaped quick-change dies, capable of four die outputs
Vacuum Forming & Cooling
• Stainless Steel Water Tank, 18–25°C, with vortex water circulation.
